Marco Rubio Identifies the Underpinnings of an Emerging Economic Order of the 21st Century

"Marco Rubio" by Gage Skidmore is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0 Business Insider recently published an article about the Scandinavian Nations having one of the highest divides between the haves and the have nots. According to the justifying rational for the large divide in the distribution of wealth, between the many and the few, as advanced contemporary welfare states, the masses in Scandinavian countries have no need to own property. Property ownership, in this rational, is only necessary for the entrepreneurial class, which supposedly invests in business. I haven't researched what goes on in Scandinavian nations to the depth which I have done so for Maine, but suffice it to say that what I know about Maine as a result of independent research is not common knowledge distributed in the media. Extrapolating the information gap between independent research based on reading the statutes myself and what I would know about if relying solely on the media, to th

A Threat to Liberty and Democracy When Suburban Rules Oppress Rural Culture

We live in the a new world order. It sneaked up upon us, cloaked in politically correct copacetic phrases such as, "for the public benefit", "essential government function", and "quality jobs" The  holders of the purse strings pick winners and losers. Capital makes the material world go round, but, man does not live by bread alone. Mankind has a spiritual core which seeks a meaning to life, beyond the mere satisfaction of his material needs, wants and desires. In my local community, a recent article in the Boothbay Register,  Business incubator a fresh idea for JEDC  reports that Roger Ferrell, a church pastor, with a background in developing a non-profit economic development organization called bGEN in South Carolina, spoke with the JECD (joint economic development council). The Minutes for the Boothbay Harbor Selectmen's meeting, January 14, 2019 tells a slightly different story as it reports that bGen is not just Mr Ferrell's backgro

The Importance of History

A  social enterprise  is an  organization  that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being—this may include maximizing social impact alongside profits for external shareholders. Social enterprises can be structured as a  for-profit  or  non-profit , and may take the form (depending in which country the entity exists and the legal forms available) of a  co-operative ,  mutual organization , a disregarded entity, [1]  a  social business , a  benefit corporation , a  community interest company  or a  charity organization . They can also take more conventional structures. What differentiates social enterprises is that their social mission is as core to their success as any potential profit. Wikipedia When Andersen Design was first approved for fiscal sponsorship for a museum,  I was not enthusiastic. The board of the fiscal sponsor, all from corporate backgrounds, and seemingly very well to do, rejected our creative business ceramic slip-c

Why Maine Should Say NO to Bonds!

TWEET THIS:  http://goo.gl/JrrQ3E Bonds are one of the ways that the Corporation of Maine finances its perpetual expansion and dominance over the free enterprise system. As the corporation of Maine concentrates the bulk of available capital in Maine under its own control, it drives the collective socio-economic culture of Maine in the direction determined by a class of overlords- some elected (the legislature and administration) and some not (the tzars and private partners in "public-private relationships). Governor Lepage's recent comment that "$100,000.00 a year income is not that wealthy" reflects the age old character of those in pursuit of wealth for wealth's sake, it is never enough- the goal is perpetually moved- one can never reach it because there is always someone wealthier until one gets to the level of the George Soros's of the world , a man on record of saying it is fun to use his wealth to destroy nations. This attitude is also present of the
