Its Not the Economy, Its the Culture!

Trump has brought into focus a long brewing social crisis SELECTED FOR THE BEST OF TREMR darren-deloach-unsplash I was a Republican, until the 2016 convention when a petition gathered enough signatures to let delegates vote their conscience, and was promptly dismissed by a voice vote.  That was when I first became aware that the Republican party was afraid, intimidated and dominated by the Trump base. I felt the party took the traditional base of the party, which included myself, for granted, as if we were party players, guaranteed to support the party, unquestionably, no matter where it went. Deeply ro o ted party obedience has been established. Many whom I once respected and are no longer recognizable. Those of us who did not follow the leaders no longer have a place in the Republican party and have largely become Independents. I voted straight blue in the last election, but consider myself Independent. There is no reason to believe that either one party or the other will continu...

Carl F Horowitz, Merges False Equivalencies with Authentic Insights.

I was recently engaged in an online conversation in which an article titled The Corporate Alliance with Political Radicalism: A Great Deal of Ruin in a Nation by Carl F Horowitz was brought up with the following quotation: Why are so many corporations, especially those that provide information technology, promoting political radicalism? A growing number of people, at least on the Right, must be wondering about all this, especially as the business community continues to line up in solidarity against President Donald Trump. For it hardly can be denied that the corporation, partly out of self-interest and partly out of conviction, is becoming an adjunct of the hard Left. And equally to the point, the hard Left is becoming an adjunct of corporations. This alliance is anything but benign. In the long run, it even may jeopardize the existence of the United States.  I had no idea what the author was saying, mainly because in the above, Mr Horowitz speaks in labels and I am not fami...

What Will Make America Great Again ?

As our national drama unfolds as a tale of alleged money laundering clogging the arteries of presidential politics, a uniquely positioned character emerges in Steve Bannon. Once rumored to be the power behind the throne, Bannon is now banished from the regime, fired from his job, and cut off from his financial supply chain. Steve Bannon has nothing left to lose. In ostracizing Bannon, Bannon came to be empowered with an unpredictable artillery of a loose cannon, a circumstance which the prevailing power contingency failed to foresee. Bannon is as derisive of Congress as he is ostracized by the Trump Republicans. Bannon was called back to center stage by the equally independent Mueller, reported to be straighter than an arrow and poised to penetrate the long-whispered rumors of an underworld wasp's nest crowning the glorious tower of Trump Global Enterprises. How delicious! But sorry to disappoint my dear reader, this blog post is not about Trump or Bannon and the whole shebang, H...

Public Private Relationships And the New Owners of the Means of Production Available In Print

Public Private Relationships and the New Owners of the Means of Production is now available in print- in time for the start of what is currently looking like Amerika's first fully open public private federal government with globalist Trump and family seeming apparently unaware as to any conflict of interest between running their global business empire in conjunction with administering the US government! As in Maine, public private relationships are surrounded by a fluid relationship to  general laws governing the rest of society. Here is a post-election link to a story about Trump and family's business dealings in India, Trump’s extensive deals in India raise conflict-of-interest concerns Here is a link to my book documenting how government by public private relationships has been aggressively and incrementally replacing government by the Maine Constitution in Maine over the last forty years: GET THE BOOK_ PUBLIC PRIVATE RELATIONSHIPS AND THE NEW OWNERS OF THE ME...

Categorically A Progressive Cannot Earn the Conservative Nomination !

Being a Republican and a conservative is a moral qualification for earning the Republican nomination. Ever since Trump entertainment Industries entered the Republican primaries, the media has been talking about the Trump candidacy as a done deal as if conducting psychological warfare by intentional design. In fact the delegates have not voted yet and in truth qualifications for earning the conservative party nomination should have a required measure of conservatism. Recently Mr Trump said that America should just have a "great president" and it doesn't matter whether the president is Democrat or Republican, which begs the question, if that is the way Mr Trump feels , why isn't he running as an Independent? To Republicans and conservatives it does make a difference and so one must ask how can one earn the Republican nomination when one is, by self admittance neither a conservative nor a Republican? Shouldn't "earning the Republican nomination...

What Is Conservatism ?

http://goo.gl/6Z9sEu This is the introductory chapter of Public Private Relationships and The New Owners of the Means of Production in which I identify my own political philosophy There is much talk in today's American political landscape about conservatism. This is my view. Conservatism is Individualism The purpose of American conservatism is to preserve the political philosophy of the founders of the   United States, as documented in The United States Constitution, the Federalist Papers and The Declaration of Independence. The fundamental principal of that philosophy is individual liberty. A conservative considers policy within the framework of the United States Constitution. A progressive regards the Constitution as outdated and no longer suitable for today's world. A conservative rejects policy if it is inconsistent with the Constitution. A progressive devises ways around the Constitution and the statutes if they pose obstacles to what the progressive wants. ...
